Synopsis
Join us for an exceptional two-day masterclass led by international guest convenor Dr. Giorgio Tabanella of Italy, a globally respected periodontist and expert in advanced implant dentistry. Dr Tabanella explores the latest breakthroughs in tissue regeneration and modern surgical techniques, with a focus on biologically driven and minimally invasive approaches.
Advancements in biomaterials are reshaping implant dentistry by making regeneration more efficient, less invasive, and highly predictable. This masterclass focuses on biologically guided techniques for soft and hard tissue reconstruction, highlighting the use of magnesium-based resorbable materials (Novamag®) that offer strength and stability without the drawbacks of traditional grafting or non-resorbable meshes. Through a mix of lectures and hands-on workshops, attendees will learn to apply these materials across procedures, integrate digital surgical planning, prevent tissue collapse, and manage complications to achieve consistently strong aesthetic and functional outcomes.
The overall aim is to enhance clinicians’ understanding of the biologic rationale behind successful implant therapy, particularly the importance of proper hard and soft tissue management for long-term outcomes. The program also equips participants with advanced tools and techniques to deliver predictable, high-quality results in everyday clinical practice.

Learning Outcomes
By the completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Explain the Biologic Rationale for Success: Understand why long-term success in implant therapy depends on proper hard and soft tissue management. You will be able to articulate the principles of bone biology and soft tissue healing that underlie regenerative techniques and use this knowledge to plan treatments that promote stability and health of peri-implant tissues.
- Utilise Next-Generation Biomaterials: Recognise the characteristics and clinical advantages of next-generation resorbable biomaterials such as Novamag®. Participants will learn how and when to use magnesium-based membranes and fixation screws as biocompatible alternatives to traditional collagen membranes and metal pins, thus improving patient outcomes by avoiding additional surgeries for device removal.
- Implement Digital & Immediate Approaches: Integrate digital surgical planning and immediate placement protocols into your practice. You will gain proficiency in using digital tools to guide implant positioning and regenerative procedures and understand how immediate implant placement and flapless techniques can preserve the patient’s natural tissue architecture and reduce surgical trauma.
- Perform Advanced Regenerative Techniques: Perform both hard tissue and soft tissue regenerative techniques, including Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) and soft tissue augmentation (e.g., pedicle flaps, use of soft tissue substitutes). Through hands-on experience, you will have refined your surgical skills in graft handling, membrane fixation (with Novamag®), and advanced flap design for optimal aesthetic outcomes.
- Follow Standardised Protocols for Predictable Results: Adopt standardised step-by-step protocols in regenerative procedures to ensure reproducibility. You will be equipped with clear guidelines and checklists for each stage of treatment from planning to execution to aftercare, which will help minimise the risk of complications and improve consistency across cases.
- Prevent and Manage Complications: Identify potential complications in bone and soft tissue regeneration and describe strategies to prevent them. Should complications or failures occur, you will know evidence-based approaches to manage issues such as graft exposure, infection, or insufficient tissue outcomes. Ultimately, you will be prepared to troubleshoot challenges and ensure the long-term stability of your results.
Each learning outcome is designed to empower you with both the knowledge and the practical skills to drive the future of tissue repair in your own practice, combining innovation with proven biological principles for the benefit of your patients.
Who Should Attend
This course is ideal for:
- Periodontists
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
- Implantologists & Implant Dentists
- Advanced Dental Surgeons
If you perform or plan to expand into implant surgery, bone grafting, or peri-implant tissue management, this program is designed for you.
Why Attend?
- Stay at the Forefront of Innovation: Explore the latest in regenerative dentistry with Novamag®, a resorbable and biocompatible solution that replaces traditional titanium components and reshapes the approach to tissue repair.
- Biologically Driven, Minimally Invasive Techniques: Learn how immediate placement and tissue-preserving methods maintain ridge integrity, reduce trauma, and support long-term implant success.
- Digital Workflow & Precision: See how digital planning and guided placement improve accuracy, simplify complex cases, and integrate seamlessly with biologic principles.
- Predictable Outcomes with Standardised Protocols: Master reproducible, step-by-step protocols for grafting and soft tissue management that reduce complications and ensure consistent results.
- Expert Guidance and Hands-On Practice: Train directly with Dr. Tabanella through hands-on sessions and case discussions, gaining practical skills and confidence in a small-group setting.
Registration
Registration will open in three limited releases, each based on available capacity rather than set dates. Due to strictly limited attendance for the hands-on component, each release will close as soon as its allocation is filled so we recommend securing your place as early as possible.
